Good Shepherd School | Home School Association | Religious Education | Adult Bible Discussion | R.C.I.A. | In Home Pre-Cana Program | Sancity of Life Committee
Our Pre-Cana program is conducted by trained married couples from the parish and offered to assist engaged couples in preparing for the sacrament of Matrimony. There are two sessions each year, led by a team of two married couples. All engaged couples are invited and encouraged to participate in the program, which is held one evening per week for five weeks. The first and fifth sessions are held in the rectory and conducted by a moderator. The middle three sessions are held in the homes of the married couples, and focus on the topics of communication, decision-making, spirituality, and sexuality. The married couples offer their insights and experience and introduce subjects for discussion among all the participants.A sixth session is optional and is offered in the Church by our Music Director. At this session, music selections are presented, and advice offered to help the engaged couples plan their weddings. This session is open to all couples, including those who are taking part in other pre-cana programs. Engaged couples wishing to register for our program must do so at the Rectory.
